Summary

A day of British consolidation and small gains. Counter-attacks were staved off.

XV Corps. The 14th Division continued attacking the remaining parts of Delville Wood and managed to take Edge Trench nearly as far as the junction with Ale Alley.
II Corps. While 25th Divsion was consolidating the gains of the previous day they observed the Germans massing for an attack. An artillery barrage was called in which broke up the attack before it began.
