Summary

Schwarzenberg commanding the Army of Bohemia was pushing northwards to link up with other allied armies closing on Leipzig. Murat [IV corps and I and III Cavalry Corps] fought many delaying actions. This was a drawn situation because Schwarzenberg did achieve his goal but took 17 days to advance 70 miles.
