Summary

The Austrians, commanded by Prince Rohan, had marched all the way from Bavaria having avoided Augereau's VII Corps and Ney's VI Corps they came up against the Army of Italy. Reynier's Division came up in the rear of the Austrians and they were forced to surrender.
